Basements are a versatile place in any home. Throughout the years we have taken a home in many different directions using this space. Whether it’s an extended living area mirroring the upstairs, an entertainment center, storage, or a combination of them, we will build and transform your basement into anything you have in mind.

The basement can be renovated using a number of different layouts and materials. Here are some components and usage options when renovating your basement.

Structure and Foundation

1. Depending on how far along the basement is or if it hasn’t been built out yet, concrete work can be done. Along with this, support beams can be placed throughout the area for extra structural support.

Electric and Plumbing

2. Electrical and plumbing can also be done with a number of different lighting options you can choose from. These range from pot lighting installed into the ceiling to track lighting and more.

Framing and Drywall

3. If new rooms are being built out, then framing and drywalling can also be done. Floor plans can be drawn up to decide where rooms will be situated.

HVAC

4. Ventilation, heating, and air conditioning can also be installed and connected to the rest of the house.

Flooring

5. As with the rest of the home, there are many different flooring options to go with. Engineered wood, laminate flooring, vinyl, a number of different tile types, and even carpet.

The basement allows you to add to the home in whichever way you like. An extra part of the home equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and more can be built or renovated for personal use or for renting purposes.

Entertainment centers are another avenue people take with their basements. Islands for a bar setup, theatre setups, speaker systems, big screen tvs, couches, and arcades. The options are plenty in this part of the home.

Storage and laundry areas are another type of insert for the basement. Additional belongings can conveniently be placed here. Laundry appliances can also be installed, freeing up space in other parts of the home.
